Today and tomorrow, #DIESIS , in the framework of the European Social Fund (ESF) Social Economy Thematic Network, is participating  in the meeting “Building a Sustainable Social Enterprise Sector. Strategies, Innovation and Impact” hosted by Diesis members Social Firms Scotland and Senscot in Edinburgh.

After an overview of Scotland’s SE Eco-System, the event foresees several discussion on different themes as the importance of local SENs and Impact methods to building a sustainable social enterprise sector as well as social impact measurement as necessary element for a sustainable sectors.
During the second part of the meeting It is sharing good examples of supporting the Circular Economy through ESF and the role of the ESF in supporting social innovation.

In the framework of the event, Dorotea Daniele from DIESIS facilitates a roundtable discussion on the role of ESF within SE Strategy in Scotland as well as some examples from other Member States.
In the afternoon, Luca Pastorelli, president of Diesis, moderates the World Cafe on lessons learnt from the Scottish examples, on what could be transferred, barriers to transfer, action points and follow up.

The ESF Network is composed by 12Managing Authorities and national and EU Stakeholders operating until 2019 to promote mutual learning on how to promote social economy within the ESF transnational platform.
