In the framework of Social Economy Thematic Network, DIESIS organised the seminar “Circular economy as an opportunity for social enterprises – what role for European Social Fund support?” with the involvement of 3 representative of European Commission (DG ENV and DG EMPL and DG Grow), European social economy networks , social enterprises in the circular economy and #ESF managing authorities from 8 countries, that took place in Brussels on March 20th and 21st.
The first day examined circular economy as an opportunity for economy, employment, green growth and the examples of social enterprises working in the circular economy to understand their success factors, difficulties and needs. The second day participants of seminar visited Televil a social enterprise operating in the circular economy. Part of the day was devoted in discussing lessons learnt, what could be transferred and priorities and planning future activities.
